The porcelain disc rheostat is applicable to industrial electrical equipment with voltage not exceeding 380V for voltage and current regulation, voltage regulation of AC and DC generators and speed regulation of DC motors. Kang copper wire or nickel chromium wire is used as the resistance material to wind around the circular ceramic framework, the external coating is enamel process glass glaze or silicone coating and bonded to the ceramic chassis, and the center is equipped with a rotating shaft to drive the brush holder and brush to slide, so as to obtain the variable resistance value. The rheostat is divided into two types: open type and protective type. The protective type is that the rheostat is added with metal protective box shell and adjusted by hａnd wheel.
