Fireye D40-41 controls supersede similar Fireye C-Series controls and are directly plug-in replaceable.
The following chart illustrates the comparison.
Control 70D40 with Amplifier 72DUV1 will also replace a Fireye Type 25DU4 model 5040 provided
the wiring is changed to the appropriate wiring shown later in this document.
Note: When a C-Series unit is replaced with a D-Series unit, the chassis retaining clip （for a quarter
turn fastener） in the wiring base must be replaced with a threaded clip that is supplied with each DSeries
Control.
