General
- The lightning arrester series SCONI-AR-MDM are
commonly used to protect sensitive telecom equipment
such as communication line and data transmission lines form
damage caused by transient surge voltages that typically result
from lightning strikes or equipment switching operation.
- This model adopts Polyswitch, TVS (Transient Voltage
Suppressor) and GDT (Gas Discharge Tube) Which are
placed in front of, and in parallel with, the Sensitive device
acting as high impedance component While not influencing
the signal in normal operation.
- Polyswitch devices are used to help protect against harmful over current
surges and over temperature faults. Like traditional fuses, these devices
limit the flow of dangerously high current during fault condition. The
Polyswitch device, however, resets after the fault is cleared and power to
the circuit is removed, there by reducing and repair costs.
- This model protects linked devices via twisted-pair cables
from lightning surge damage which induced in cables.
- RS-422 and RS-485 use.
- 3 stage protection structure.
- CE conformity.
